Delivery and returns

At NordiHut, most of our saunas are made to order and delivered fully assembled wherever site access allows. Selected models may also be available for DIY self-assembly or professional on-site assembly.

This page explains our delivery, unloading, assembly, cancellation and returns process.

Delivery

Most NordiHut saunas are delivered fully assembled to the kerbside or nearest suitable accessible point to the property.

Free kerbside delivery is available to most UK mainland locations where stated on the relevant product page or quotation.

Additional delivery charges may apply to Scottish Highlands and islands, offshore locations, restricted-access properties, specialist transport requirements or locations requiring additional lifting or handling equipment.

Any additional delivery costs will be confirmed before your order is finalised.

Production & Lead Times

Most NordiHut saunas are manufactured to order.

Typical production and delivery time is approximately 4–8 weeks from order confirmation and receipt of the required deposit.

Lead times are estimates and may vary depending on the sauna specification, production schedule, material availability, transport arrangements and delivery location.

We will provide an estimated delivery timeframe when your order is confirmed and will keep you informed of any significant changes where reasonably possible.

Delivery & Assembly Options

Most NordiHut saunas are supplied fully assembled and ready for final positioning on site.

For selected models, alternative delivery options may also be available. Depending on the sauna model, specification and site access, the sauna may be supplied:

  • fully assembled;
  • in sections for DIY self-assembly; or
  • in sections for professional on-site assembly by NordiHut.

On-site assembly is not included in the standard product price unless specifically stated in your quotation or order confirmation and will normally be quoted separately.

DIY assembly availability depends on the particular sauna model and configuration.

If access to your property prevents delivery of a fully assembled sauna, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss the most suitable delivery and assembly option.

Unloading & Final Positioning

Due to the size and weight of fully assembled saunas, suitable lifting equipment may be required to unload and position the sauna.

Depending on the product and site, this may include a forklift, telehandler, crane, HIAB or similar lifting equipment.

Unless specifically included in your quotation or order confirmation, unloading and final positioning are the customer's responsibility.

NordiHut can assist with arranging suitable lifting equipment where required. Any crane, forklift or specialist handling charges will be quoted separately.

Site Access

The customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable access is available for the delivery vehicle and sauna.

Please tell us before delivery about any potential restrictions, including narrow roads or driveways, restricted gates, walls or fences, overhead cables, trees, soft ground, limited turning space, steep slopes or other obstacles.

Where possible, we recommend discussing access with us before confirming the order.

If delivery cannot be completed because of access restrictions that were not disclosed in advance, additional transport, storage, lifting or redelivery charges may apply.

Base & Site Preparation

Unless specifically included in your quotation, the customer is responsible for providing a suitable, level and load-bearing base before delivery or installation.

The base must be appropriate for the dimensions and weight of the sauna and must be completed before the agreed delivery or installation date.

Any delays or additional work resulting from an unsuitable or incomplete base may result in additional charges.

Electrical Connections

Where specified, sauna electrical systems, lighting and other electrical components may be pre-installed during manufacture.

Final connection to the property's electrical supply must be completed by a suitably qualified electrician unless specifically included in your quotation.

Sauna heaters must be installed and connected in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements.

Water & Drainage Connections

Where a sauna includes a shower, tap, drainage system or other plumbing equipment, final connection to the property's water supply and drainage is not included unless specifically stated in the quotation.

These connections should be completed by suitably qualified tradespeople where required.

Delivery Inspection & Damage

Customers should inspect the sauna as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.

Any visible transport damage should be reported to NordiHut promptly and supported with photographs where possible.

Please contact us before carrying out repairs where you intend to make a claim relating to transport damage or a manufacturing defect.

Cancellations

Most NordiHut saunas are manufactured to order and may be produced according to the customer's selected specification, including dimensions, finishes, glazing, heater configuration and optional extras.

Once an order has been confirmed and the required deposit has been received, NordiHut may reserve production capacity, order materials and begin production preparation or manufacture.

Where a product is manufactured to the customer's individual specifications or is clearly personalised, the statutory right to cancel may not apply.

If a customer requests cancellation after production preparation, material procurement or manufacture has begun, NordiHut may retain all or part of the deposit to cover costs and losses reasonably incurred as a direct result of the cancellation.

Any amount retained will be proportionate to the costs and losses incurred.

If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will confirm the current stage of the order and any applicable cancellation costs.

Returns

Made-to-order, customised or personalised saunas cannot normally be returned simply because the customer has changed their mind.

Due to the size, weight and made-to-order nature of these products, returns of completed bespoke saunas are generally not practical once manufacture has been completed and delivery has taken place.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of UK consumer law.

If there is a problem with your sauna, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can assess the issue and arrange an appropriate solution.
